Latah Aux Comm Mesh Net
Meshtastic
Hill to hill across the Palouse, no towers needed.
Genesee repeater is live (in development, may be spotty). Moscow is next.
Our primary network. Cheap handheld and solar nodes relay text messages and positions across the county with no phone service or internet.
Best for: Your first node. Cheap, phone-friendly, and the biggest community.

How it works
- •Each node rebroadcasts messages it hears, up to the hop limit. Messages "flood" outward across the mesh.
- •You talk to your node from the Meshtastic app over Bluetooth, WiFi or USB.
- •Solar repeaters on high ground (like our P1-Pro sites) extend range for everyone.

Get on Meshtastic in four steps

Get a radio
Any supported 915 MHz LoRa board works. Handhelds are great for carrying; fixed nodes want a good antenna up high.
